Fortunately there are a number of simple methods to ensure your silicone caulk looks perfect almost every time.

Spray the silicone caulk solvent onto the affected area of the carpet and agitate with gloved fingers.
If you have carpet in your kitchen or bathroom you may accidentally spill caulk onto the carpet.
If your area rug is an inexpensive one consider caulking it to keep it in place.
Space them by 6 inches to a foot depending on the size and weight of the rug.
And it s really flexible so over time it won t break free.
If you cannot catch the caulk in time before it dries you must remove it from the carpet.
I saw a video on here about using the hot glue gun but i also seen the silicone being used to i was having trouble finding it i know you can use the silicone for stopping rip s and fraying out old area rugs but it showed it being used for a non skid on the back of rugs to.
